Don DeVoe, Ph.D., acting CEO and co-founder, brings over 15 years of experience in the development of microscale bioanalytical technologies. After receiving his Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley, Dr. DeVoe joined the faculty at the University of Maryland, College Park, where he is presently a Professor of Mechanical Engineering, with an affiliate position in the Department of Bioengineering and Department of Chemical and Biochemical Engineering. In 2000 he was recognized by the National Science Foundation as a recipient of the Presidential Early Career Award for Scientists and Engineers for significant contributions in the field of microsystems technology. |

Satya P. Saxena, Ph.D., Vice President of Research, brings 20+ years experience in defining novel research concepts and implementing innovative proteomics technologies essential to the success of contemporary biomedical research. Before joining Calibrant, Dr. Saxena served as Chief of Proteomics at the National Institute on Aging, National Institutes of Health (NIH). While at NIH, he established the agency's initial foray into protein-based biomarker and drug target discovery to age-related diseases. Prior to the NIH, he played a key role in the development of statewide proteomics infrastructure in the State of New Mexico and University of Manitoba, Canada. Dr. Saxena received his Ph.D. in Analytical Chemistry/Toxicology from All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi, India. He conducted his post-doctoral work at the Biomedical Research Centre in Vancouver, Canada and the Manitoba Institute of Cell Biology in Winnipeg, Canada. |
